Great decor and atmosphere, great service, delicious breakfast buffet/brunch. We're looking forward to trying their lunch menu which is also available as well during the brunch time. They had an omelet station for custom-made omelettes, delicious french toast, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, delicious monte cristo, delicious rosemary potatoes, bacon and sausage links. They also had apricot chicken salad I didn't try that and some other salad options.
My Husband and I ordered the Monte Cristo sandwich and the Bistro burger both with onion rings. Honestly the best burger I have ever had, it was big and juicy. We then had a slice of raspberry white chocolate cheesecake that was divine. Sean was a great server. 10 out of 10 will try to come back as often as we can!
Thank you so much for making mine and my wife’s day! Before sitting down we were greeted by an amazing staff. Everyone was so warm and considerate. We are great full to all the staff. The food was nothing less than divine! The crab cakes were perfectly crunchy and seasoned. The smash burger was the best burger I’ve had in my life. Every ingredient used was quality that can taste in every bite. Chef Bobby outdid himself and it Was a pleasure meeting you! Every part of our meal had us excited for the next bite. Our only regret is not saving room for dessert.
I actually found this restaurant searching for places to eat breakfast. But around the time of day that my wife and I arrived we ended up having sandwiches and salad. I was surprised to see the Monte Cristo, I don't think I've seen this on the menu in 30 years but it was always my favorite. The food was great the atmosphere is definitely a little upscale to what we're seeing otherwise. But the Key point is the food is delicious and that's the one thing that will keep you coming back. Also I think this is a great place to bring people when they visit, always looking for a little extra special adventure. And last I'll mention coffee, I love it everywhere I go and there's a good cup of coffee here.
Stopped by here for lunch today. The service was good and the food was excellent. I also had the smoked old fashioned 🥃 wich was very very good. We had the Lula burger 🍔 and the steak frites. The burger was the better choice of the two. It was very good. I had everything on it, with the addition of grilled onions 🧅 and grilled jalapeños.
Lula Mae’s is a true gem in downtown Terrell! I had the apricot chicken salad sandwich with their bistro salad. Both were delicious! Dessert selections change, but always good options. I fell in love with the lemon blueberry cheesecake.
Had dinner with family here this evening, the service is always amazing. We had the downtown chicken x2 was cooked to perfection. (Second time having it) also had the Cajun chicken pasta, (second time as-well) we will be back to try other dishes. We also had the chocolate cake and the blueberry cheesecake. Dessert was to die for. Atmosphere is what you would expect in an upscale restaurant, with a cozy home town local eatery. Every time we have been, has been an amazing experience.
First time visiting and it was wonderful. The inside was beautifully restored. Loved the atmosphere and ambiance. Server was very attentive from the time we walked in until the very end. Definitely enjoyed their buger and the Monte Cristo sandwich. Chose the fries and onion rings as sides. The onion rings were ao good, as was their in-house made ranch. Food came out hot and fresh. Service was amazing. Only negative was they didn't have the Croque Madam that was listed on the menu. I'll try their higher end items on the next visit.
What are you waiting for?! I finally tried this fabulous place for breakfast. I was going to write a review later but want to make certain I didn't forget. Yes it's that good! Chicken and waffles was my choice this morning. They did not disappoint. Four little round crunchy, tasty waffles with fried chicken strips dusted with a light coating of powdered sugar. The waffles tasted like a great deal of love went into them. You could taste a hint of vanilla. So delightful. The chicken strips we re e coated thoroughly. The batter is just a tiny bit dense but very tasty. Inside a hunk of very nice chicken breast. Cooked and seasoned perfectly I might add. It comes with a hot honey and syrup. Try the hot honey if you dare.Its tasty but know it will sneak up on you and stay for a while. I enjoyed the side of rosemary potatoes immensely. The coffee was solid and the mimosa was just strong enough to get your attention and a morning buzz. Service was outstanding! You can tell there is a great deal of thought and love into their dishes. Can't wait to come back and try dinner with friends. Like I said. What are you waiting for?!
Wow! I wish we would’ve visited this gem sooner. We were just there for the first time and we loved everything about it. Our server and bartender, Alyssa, was friendly and gave us some great menu recommendations for dinner. My husband loved his pork chop entree. One of their nightly specials was a smash burger, which is what I ended up ordering. My husband is a huge smash burger fan, which is honestly one of the main reasons I ordered it (everything looked so good and I couldn’t make up my mind!). I don’t always love how thin the patties get with smash burgers, but somehow they were able to make the outside of the burger crispy on a thicker, juicy, well seasoned patty. It was delicious! Alyssa also makes a mean dirty martini! After dinner, she invited us to step outside to take a look at their patio, which is behind the restaurant. It’s absolutely beautiful! I can’t wait to go back for their brunch and enjoy their outdoor seating.
